The current issue of "Coin World" (Nov. 12) lists many sellers of (US) gold coins. One seller is selling Gold Am. Eagles (based on $760 per ounce 'spot' price) at:

$815 ($50 Eagles) $413 ($25 Eagles) $218 ($10 Eagles) $90 ($5 Eagles).

Another dealer is selling $20 St.Gaudens coins for $826; $10 (Indians) for $567; $5 (Indians) for $349; and $2.50 (Indians) for $249 each.

All sellers state their coins are "Brilliant Uncirculated" pieces. The poorer the condition, the closer to the "spot" price these coins will sell, assuming they are not 'rare' or in special demand.

Well said. There are some big exceptions to this general pricing...but you'll need a coin pricing guide if you've have old gold coins you're wanting to get more information about. And a Hearty Treasurenet Welcome to you!

Do you mean gold bullion coins, or gold mint coins? There is a difference. The bullion coins are listed above. Gold mint coins can vary quite widely depending on a lot of things.
