When I want to check Dowsing power, I use this 10 lb block of Iron for my signal. I set it on the floor aways from the iron bread rack, and Dowse the connection line, between the two. When flux hit 70 the other day, both my 3 and 11 inch rods, slightly indicated power strength. Not quite strong enough to chase lines yet. Dowser

Dowsing power is extremely weak right now. My preferred Stainless steel, non-swivel L-rods, don't have enough signal energy, to move them at all. The weight of them causes drag and friction between the rods and your hands, preventing them from moving.
Dowsing power can get so strong, L-rods made out of 3/4 rebar can be used. But for now, in order to see the weak signal, I have to use the lightest materials, or swivel rods. Something with less drag.
With the increase of Solar flux to 71 today, Ham radio propagation goes back into marginal.
Just as some Ham radio frequencies work better with higher Flux, So does Dowsing !! Dowser
