Dowsing power is extremely weak right now. My preferred Stainless steel, non-swivel L-rods, don't have enough signal energy, to move them at all. The weight of them causes drag and friction between the rods and your hands, preventing them from moving.
Dowsing power can get so strong, L-rods made out of 3/4 rebar can be used. But for now, in order to see the weak signal, I have to use the lightest materials, or swivel rods. Something with less drag.
With the increase of Solar flux to 71 today, Ham radio propagation goes back into marginal.
Just as some Ham radio frequencies work better with higher Flux, So does Dowsing !! Dowser
