I'm no tree hugger but,

Listen. Cut me some slack. I really am not into the cult like green revolution thing. I believe in moderation. However after finishing a load of honey roasted peanuts in a glass jar with a nice tight fitting lid..which we bought buy one get one free...I thought how the Glass, lid, and marketing just had to be more than the darn peanuts inside?

IF I had approached a company to make this peanut glass jar for say old marbles... they would have charged me probably 2-3 bucks a piece!

Maybe my third glass of California Cabernet Sauvignon has kicked in...however..I think there might be something to this green thing if one just thinks about the possibilities.

I agree,,, but should the wine bottle be melted down for marbles or sent back to be refilled with wine?

Re: I'm no tree hugger but,

I collect free stuff. Just because it may have present or future 'usage'.
Rubberbands from broccoli.
White plastic square containers from work.
Shipping micro-bubble foam in 12 inch perfect squares.
Hundreds of pages of white stickers that "don't stick enough") lol!
Plastic blue coffee MaxwellHouse containers.
Stacked potato chip plastic containers.
Japanese apple in juice glass containers.
The usual bubble wrap from mail envelopes.
Any Dollar Store item made by slave Chinese laborers worth ten times it's price.
Did I mention left over rotisserie chicken for 'homemade' soup. (the best!)

Use, reuse, recycle. What is the problem here? The first three words will cost you a lot more in the long run if you don't put it to practice.

That will be the deciding factor for you to respond accordingly to your belief.

Tree huggers aren't even reading this forum.

Hey Cappy, I saw a show on the discovery channel the other night about you! The show used to focus on interventions for people with drug and alcohol problems, but now they have a show for "hoarders" ::)!
This poor guy was really singing the blues when the group(especially his wife) started throwing out his collection of fish tanks!!HaHa! Then, they send the guy to go pick up his kids from school and while he's gone they throw everything out of the attic. He looked like his whole world had just fallen apart.
I did not notice any apple juice jars, pringles cans or rubber band collections, so I assume you are still in the game ;D!! Good luck, and stay green my friend! Gpurs...

Maybe I'm a seaweed hugger.

I would like everyone to stop using fertilizer on lawns and golf courses... it's killing our waterways.
