Finding civil war buckles and buttons in Wisconsin and posting them.
Where is that thread? I would like to read it.
Posted those long before you came to the site Gypsyheart. Other have found similar items. One magazine story involed a U S buckle found in Iowa. Use your search feature.

90% of all of your posts are negative --

the only time you pipe up is not to say good find or nice job it is to say did you get permission and did you fill your holes? --

expecting people to comment on your finds and not commenting on theirs --

failing to respond to people who have asked questions concerning your finds --

posting finds that are not yours--

I don't know what I'd do for a laugh if it were not for this forum. ;D

Just doing what I can to include as many people as possible -- leaving people out is also unpopular :) ;D ;)

If you were referring to this thread...gee thanks! If not you should have been. ::)

Hey Pete! You mean to tell me CW people sometimes left the south? Heck, I thought when they fought down there they stayed there all their lives and buried all their buttons and buckles on the battle field.

Man, ya learn something new every day.

Amen! Good comment.

Also....

How to be loved on Treasurenet.

1. Always be nice and come off as a bit naive
2. Never try to be funny
3. Never take the posture of an authority on anything
4. Only post when you have something nice but not too great
5. Never badger (my personal favorite)
6. Never post on threads that seem to be heading the wrong way
7. And last but certainly not last ...DON'T TELL PEOPLE YOU PICK YOUR NOSE WHILE DETECTING!

Whats funny is that the ones that others are trying to subtily refer too, the ones being refered to, never seem to grasp it. HH

i think that any post that begins with... " another sword..." should be regarded with derision...sorry 99 but that was annoying!
