Folks,

For those of us who detect, which I assume is most of us it's not always keepers as in my earlier post. It involves lot of junk and the inevitable clad if you do urban detecting, at least it pays for some batteries and coffee.

...No, that's what I 'mean' -- "shoot"! If I did that, they'd shoot me! freaked-out-smiley-emoticon.gif

1989 air crash between two of the Snow Birds at the CNE at the CNE in Toronto, where one of the pilots died.
5 yrs later having a military bid I won, I took possession of the two planes for total distraction (meaning cutting them up in little pieces so no souvenirs of the plane would be in collections.)
One plane was in a dozen large crates in pieces and the other one I had to partially disassemble it on site then truck it to my yard.
In one of the large crates there was flight manuals, topo. maps, and other paperwork that would be in the plane. One large envelope there was 13 plastic zip-locks containing plain parts with had been removed from the deceased pilot. I found these at 3am in the morning which turned into a surreal moment from the lack of sleep and the realization of what I was holding.
7 am in the morning I was calling the base to arrange the returning of the parts.
