Those are some terrific finds, Ace. I hunted around my brother's strawberry field, which dates back to the 20's/30's when my grandpa raised berries. Didn't find anything like what you found, but it was fun finding some older farm tools lost over the years.

 RR

I have found some interesting things about the little ACE250 in some places that i hunt that have a lot of Iron in the soil...... I missed a lot of the really good small targets....... So i have been going over my sites with one of my other detectors and have been finding some good stuff that I have looked over.... I don't know if you tried this RR or not ? you will be surprised....

better link. http://74.125.47.132/search?q=cache...a+state+seal+button"&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=1&gl=us

You may have a $400 - $2000 button depending on type and condition. Nice find.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT CLEAN until you do some research on preservation. You could ruin the value. A good reference is by "Buckles" on cleaning buttons in our cleaning and preservation section.

Thanks bigcypresshunter I had no idea .... sad to say mine is in two pieces but was surprised when i found it. to me it is a nice piece of La history to pas on to my Grandkids ..... I wonder if there are any more there ?

No Luck???!!!

That's a piece of a mid-1800s SWORD! Unless the "no luck" line was meant in jest, I wanted to bump this up to make sure the finder knew what this item was.
