Fisher still offers the chest mount strap for their detectors even though it isn't on the website.

Copied from an email.

Sandman, is this a universal mount for their water rigs or for other rigs as well?

Since I'm a wader and not a diver and never had a chest harness I hipmount my CZ20 when in the river or creeks. Is there an advantage to one over the another in your experience?

Lowbatts the neck mount or the hip mount are never for diving because of safety. The neck strap mount has a snap attactment for sliding the belt clip from the Fisher's water detectors or any other detector that has a slot type mount that can attach to the shafts like the Tesoro's. It won't work with Minelabs because they don't attach to the shaft this way.

The only con to using the neck mount is the CZ-20 or 21 wants to float the box when you get in neck deep water even though it has a chest strap. Otherwise you can reach the controls easier this way instead of it pulling your belt down around your ankles.

Thanks Sandman.
I usually go no more than waist deep at the old river crossings I hunt. Most of the river is ankle to shin deep and broad at these old sites, one of the reasons they were popular for early, pre-bridge era settlers.
