Wish I could offer up some spots for you while you're down here but FL sucks for metal detecting. The gulf coast beaches are pretty much swept everyday by dozens of MD's that are all part of a club over there and as for dry land hunts its even worse. But it's not the competition it's the lack of areas. FL, especially in and around Tampa has paved over 90% of everything and the few places where there's dirt left is off limits. It's very frustrating
