Looks like a horse shoe crab ...but I’m no where near the ocean

Any ideas folks,

Found in northwestern Ontario on a flooded lake , at the bottom of an eroded clay bank

When the item is wet the detail is really sharp, might not be able to see but the thing has a segmented tail that is missing a bit.

Ontario has been under the seas a number of times in it's geologic past. Looks like you have some type of arthropod fossil there, but the outline is ghostly. It may well be a distant relative of the horseshoe crab.

Not enough of it there to ID. It's a guessing game. Cool, though.
