Snagged a necklace with two charms listed as 14k on the 'Bay for $30. Have had a really (personally) bad couple of weeks and figured that it would have to go back most likely, as they didn't list a weight or try to take pics of marks so I was skeptical. It comes in, everything tests at a strong 14k, 7 grams woo! Kept the small crucifix and went in to scrap the remaining 6.5 grams today, they tested it all at 22k! Should have been more thorough when testing at home but I was in a hurry. Sold it to them for over $200.

Great score! When you received it did you find a hallmark?

No hallmark, the crucifix has an incredibly tiny 585 and some other indecipherable mark on the bail and the capricorn pendant has a couple of completely unreadable marks on the bail but nothing on the necklace. I believe the clasp was replaced at some point, it's not marked, not soldered on, and probably not gold.
