How does somebody make something like this?

Some of the stuff I find.. especially when it's not made in China and I don't think this one was made on a machine. But just some of the detail in stuff, not only this piece but other things just blows my mind. Especially I think this one is from like the 1920s so does that mean somebody made it by hand? I don't think I'm going to polish it probably just leave it as is but I'm sure if it were cleaned properly it would look amazing.

There are many artists that make jewelry-all different materials "by hand". I once took a class in Bellingham WA on working with metals (jewelry). There are so many things the artists can use, molds, torches, carving tools, stamps, polishers, grinders etc. The key is you have to be "talented" and patient!! Lol. I like the hand made "one-of-a-kind" stuff that you know no one else has. Your Rosary is pretty! Maybe have it shined up at the jewelry store??

Wow! Is that on a pin? How do they have tools tiny enough to do that. Amazing!
