I stopped at an auction for a couple hrs this morning. I paid $27 for a box of "junk" that had the Omega watch in it plus a few other costume jewelry items, music box and shot gun shell end buttons. The band is a Fixoflex and I don't believe it is original to the watch. I found a very similar Omega watch that sold but it was 18k including the band. I don't know how to get the back off to see if there are markings inside. It seems to work fine though. I hope it is worth more than I paid!!

The other watch is 14k white gold case and has a Toledo brand watch in it which I don't believe is worth much but I think it's pretty. The case is marked on the inside--I don't know this makers mark. The band is only 10k-rgp (Speidel). Paid $4.50 at a TS on the way home. At least I know the gold in it is worth more than I paid. :)

Watches are not an area I'm good at so any help on info, maker, worth etc. is appreciated. Thanks!!

The back is threaded, see those notches, turn the back counterclockwise. Just don't scratch it, it is definitely worth more than what you paid for it,if it is genuine. Good Luck!

It's worth a "lot" more than you paid for it. I have a simple Omega as my everyday watch and it was low four figures new. Nice find.

Thank you for the replies! I went to the site that bdsawyer posted and it does appear genuine but again I'm no expert. Do you think it'd be worth it to take it to a watch repair person and have it cleaned and checked inside? I watched a video on how to remove the back and I have no tools to do that and am afraid to scratch it. I have learned it's a "pie pan" watch due to the shape. Never heard that before. Thanks again for the link and replies!

I would take it to a watch guy, just to help you take off the back and check the movement/markings.
Good advice let the watch guy monkey with it. That back will most likely be on so tight you'll hack it up without the proper tools to unscrew it. If it runs good I'd just leave it alone.

Thank you Tamrock! I will have to take it in. I'm sure a buyer would like photos of the inside as well. I'm excited you guys think it's real to. Woohoo! Lol

Can't tell you anything about the Ladie's Watch but the Omega Constellation appears to be genuine! Good point and I agree to take in to a professional Jeweler/Watch Repair Shop and have it serviced, making sure to keep the receipts. Also, ask them to date the watch, give you the Model Number, whether it is a Gold cased watch (if Gold, then it could be worth several thousand dollars or more) or not and if they have the correct watch band/bracelet for it. If the watch case is Gold and the Jeweler does not have the correct watch band/bracelet, then try to obtain one off of eBay or elsewhere. Just don't buy one from China and I would recommend only purchasing one from a Seller in the U.S. or possibly Canada. Similar Omega Constellation Watches in 18k Gold without their' watch bands/bracelets have sold for over $4,000 to near $5,000 omega constellation 18k | eBay, so you can imagine what one would sell for with an original watch band/bracelet. You may decide that the watch band/bracelet is too costly and rightfully so. However, if and when you sell the watch, it is better to sell it without a watch band/bracelet, than it is to sell it with an aftermarket watch band/bracelet unless the watch band/bracelet is also Gold.

Great advice Frank, I appreciate the info. I am trying to find a jewelry that does watches now.

If you live in or near a fairly large or major city, there should be plenty of Jewelry Chain Stores that can check the authenticity of the watch! I Have taken Rolex and Tag Heuer Watches to Jared's and Markman's to have the watches checked out. Most major Jewelry Chain Stores carry Rolex, Breitling, Omega, Tag Heuer and other high dollar find watches and they have to know what they are looking at.

I still have it! I asked the jewelers how much it'd be to sent it in and have it cleaned. It was like $200. I asked another jeweler and it was like $150 to clean it. I don't really want to spend that kind of money right now and since it works I'm reconsidering even sending it in. I plan on selling it but I need time!! lol. I honestly don't know what it'd be worth.... Thanks Frank!

I would wear that beauty everyday until I sold it! A nice score! I'm hoping to get lucky this garage sale season!

Congratulations on the score! I'm jealous. That is one thing I haven't found yet in my last few years of picking...a really nice watch. I'm a big watch lover and used to sell Rolex and others high end watches. I would only sell that if you really needed the money or if you are not a big watch lover.

Two more watches Omega & 14k white gold

I'm a female and its a mans watch. [emoji6]My husband got a very nice watch as a gift from his company after working there 10 yrs and he isn't interested in keeping it either. It will be for sale as soon as I get around to listing it. Thanks for all your comments!! Anyone have an idea on where I should start the auction price, there seems to be such a variation and there is no band?? The last jeweler I took it to opened the back and let me take photos of it. She looked at it under her fancy machine and wrote everything down. The pictures aren't very good but I didn't want to waste her time. She was very helpful and nice. I will be going back in there for any of my jewelry needs. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1429288317.658166.jpg
