Picked up this 800 silver trinket?? box at an estate sale Sunday. It weighs in at a little over 4 ozt & I paid $10. I think it might be worth more than melt if I can identify the maker. Unfortunately it looks like the makers name was double struck & I can't make it out. From left to right the marks are: makers mark, Lions head, Star 660 FI, & 800. There was a good bit of stuff at the sale that was from Germany and/or Belgium. Any help would be appreciated.

It looks like an Italian mark. The form with the makers Number and the FI is usually Italian.

Great tip. I was able to identify the FI as the mark for Firenze. The maker is "Il Leone di Caselli Walter". Business of Walter Caselli started in 1977. I'm assuming the Italian stands for the lion of Walter Caselli.
