Hey guys,

Stored my Pro pointer all winter without the battery in it. This pointer has seen very little use maybe an hour. Tonight I'm getting it ready for a hunt tomorrow and when I turn it on I don't get the normal 2 beeps. Instead I just get constant scream and vibration. It won't stop unless I shut it off. The first couple times it did it after about 15 seconds the low battery wailing would start. So I found a new battery, tested it on my volt meter to make sure it was good..... and still it just screams and vibrates. Doesn't go into the low battery wailing now though. Any ideas or is this P.O.S toast already?

I swear if this ones bad I'll never buy another Garrett product again. This is my second one and it's still brand spanking new practically.

You do know that when you start it up, the tip has to be far away from any metal, right? Because when you turn it on, it autosets its sensitivity.

I hate it when a comment is made like the OPs, and even after a full month no follow up is issued. Was it faulty? Did HE do something dumb (like batteries or metal too close)? I'll assume the latter. Who knows?:dontknow:
