Detector(s) used
delta 4000 / ace 250 - used BH and many others too
metal detecting machines attempt to ID targets based upon their electrical conductivity level -- due to many various factors the machies reading of the item may be off or in the case of less costly machines that use slots the items are in the same "slot" --better sorting "numbers type" machines often have more sorting ability BUT THEY COST MORE NORMALLY * gold normally reads below the zinc cent level of most machines -- GOLD if its 10 k it often reads in the pulltab range -like aluminum pulltabs do * due to a similar electrical conductivity reading of the two items - -machines with a "larger sorting range" can sometimes pull apart the rather close items --
USING A ACE 250 LONG AGO -- I HAD A PAPER THIN 10K GOLD MEXICO MADE KIDDIE RING COME UP UNDER "FOIL" AT A TOT LOT ONCE --ONLY REASON I DUG IT OUT WAS THERE WAS A NEARBY COIN SIGNAL AND I WAS REMOVING THE NEARBY TRASH WHILE FINDING THE COIN .
