this could help explain the mayan 'mask" found here in florida *-- the west coast of florida indains were quite differant culture wize from east coasters --maybe they were "stay behinds" from travelling mayans

Its always interesting to hear of new sites that interrelate the spread of the meso-societies.

It would be a sad day if the archies fabricate a story around a few pieces of pottery shards...this is an often tactic

When evidence began to turn up of Mayan connections to the Georgia site, South African archeologist Johannes Loubser brought teams to the site who took soil samples and analyzed pottery shards which dated the site and indicated that it had been inhabited for many decades approximately 1000 years ago.
