That only means you will have to go to small claims court. If you beat him up that means you have to go to criminal court.
The lesson you learned is don't get into this kind of thing site unseen.

It's dangerous to be right when those with a thimbleful of perceived authority are wrong.
I had something happen like that with some electronic equipment.
It's pretty hard to get action if it's a bigger department, they may tell you it's a "civil issue" (hope not)
However, if you bought this on ThiefBay, you can take more steps than you can most other places. Especially if you used paypal.
Good luck man.

My dad got ripped off one time on a computer monitor from ebay. He contacted the Sheriff's office in Gresham, Oregon and they went right to the guys house and questioned him. My dad had his money back later that day.
Why do they call it "Taking a dump" when you're actually leaving one?

Sounds like a loose wire or loop problem in the coil. I had a super 12 for my DFX that overloaded and chattered. I got it for free, so on a whim I banged it up against a wall a few times.
Worked like a champ ever since.

Well he contacted me back saying it worked when he shipped it but said we could trade back. So it looks like I'm out $40 bucks for this bullshit deal.

Sorry, referring to diggit banging detector against wall a few times, knowing temptation to bang it against the person you got it from.
