beach for detecting in galveston?

Hi I am new here and have a old micronta discovery2 detector. Can someone please recommend a beach in Galveston for my kids to try it on tomorrow?

Any swimming beach is a good one. Try and find one that is almost empty so you don't get the distractions of people on the beach.

Labor Day on any Galveston beach is going to be crowded. Detecting isn't allowed in the state park so stick to the public beaches. East Beach, Stewart, and along the sea wall are detector friendly.
