Just got the pro about a week ago. Was in a local park and found a few zinc pennies. They were at about 2 inches deep but the pro alerted 8-10 inches?? I scanned the whole again to make sure there was nothing under the penny. Was nothing. So I did a air test and when I pass a penny a inch away from the coil it bounces between 6-8 inches....what gives? Is it really that inaccurate?Sensitivity is one notch down from full, pro mode zero

Are you getting the inaccuracy when you're pinpointing or when you first get the tone? Depth while pinpointing is the one to pay attention to. If it is off there, I would say contact the seller. He may take care of it,or tell you to call/email Garrett. They will help you definitely. Great customer relations dept.

Many variables to be considered.
You are so new to the machine, your misinterpretation could be the problem?
Take a breath, Do Not send it for service and spend significant time with it.
The AT is a great machine.
