So I was at Target the other day and my son saw this toy truck metal detector. I thought it might be good to take to the beaches where detecting is off limits! lol Some people here will hate me for saying that but I am kidding. I waived coins in front of it and it went down about 6-8 inches.

How often do you frequent beaches that are off limits to detecting?....
It would be a hoot to see you gridding the beach with a child's toy.

Dang - think about all the places you could go that do not allow MD's. All you need is a child and his toy! That is so cool - I think I will order one from my Grandson...

But wouldn't ya get in trouble for using a cattleprod to make sure the kid stays within the grid lines?

In San Francisco there are quite a few that I would like to hit up.

It's true! We're all just big kids. Can't wait to go to the park and see all of these grown men playing with their little trucks. I'm getting one.

... leaves one to wonder ... could you put it in a "fancier" container (car) or monster truck?

What about a similar project with a "real" detector?

Maybe mounted on a "frontend loader" and do the digging with the "toy"?

I smell opportunity for someone with the initiative to try it.
