Me and a buddy of mine have been metal detecting for relics for a good while now. He came up with the idea the other day that we orta try our hand at finding some gold since we live right here in gold country. We are just wondering what the laws and regulations are concerning panning and using sluices and all that in Georgia. We've heard that you can search for gold in National Forest Areas but we wanna know all the regulations first so we dont get toted off by the feller in the green truck. Any tips on gettin started would help too. Thanks!

you can pan in the national forest but NOT metal detect.you will have to do some homework to find places to metal detect.
