MONSOON!

flooding can be bad but good! bad because it causes destruction and death but it also provides the mother nature of sluices. im ABSOLUTELY positive our 3 4' deep holes we dug in the river saturday are completely filled! can wait till it warms up enuff so to go back upto move more material! im actually thinking about something KevinInColorado said to me... im going to look for spots that i dont think have had much change in 100yrs. gonna do a lil more hiking.

Yup! Monsoon flooding can change everything! It's always a good idea to go back to areas you thought you'd covered really well and recheck them after a big rain.

I've had holes filled in that I've dug in washes so many times it isn't even funny. Now if we could figure out a way for these floods to drop only gold in those holes...........

Now THAT'S a river!!

...and yes, remember that advice about the big sculpted rocks!

Put all this rain to good sluice and pan accordingly!
