I know I'm not alone here. I love looking at the yellow stuff. Itching to get out and find some Au? I hope to make this is an instant gratification thread to help you through the week. Feel free to share your pics!

Here's a pic I took today. This gold is from the American River. I bought these as test nuggets.

That stuff is beat like a redheaded step child.

If that didn't come out of some kind of crushing mill, I hope you don't plan on working your way upstream to find the source, because the quickest
way to get there may be with SouthWest. That gold has some mileage on it. It might even need an oil change.. Very nice.

And to add to the pic heavy thread, something a little different, just for fun.

And because I wish I was a fearless 12 year old again... What is in there?????

Well, I know this isn't much more than I found last time (in the grand scheme of things), but I thought I'd post it anyway. This was my find tonight. I have more cons to go through yet. I'm hoping for pickers next time!

BTW, CApicker... I think I may need to follow you around for a while! lol

Thanks everyone for posting awesome pics of your gold! I love it! This is better than I had anticipated. Keep them coming!

Pt nugget

Still haven't got around to taking more gold pictures, but here is my .6g platinum nugget!

20150504_062853G.jpg

Placer platinum is so much more rare then gold placer! Only a few places in the world produce raw platinum placer nuggets. Most platinum forms with other sulfides/mineralizations which is why placer Pt is so rare. This nugget came from Canada... worth over $300 at only .6g! That is only considering rarity not the artistic quality many connoisseurs are after.
