Finally they publish a voice of reason! Well said.

Nevada Irrigation District to remove sediment from Rollins Reservoir | TheUnion.com

But, NID, what about how the Sierra Fund says stirring up and messing with sediment is bad? If it sinks to the earth's core when it rains, surely messing with it is bad?! LOL

Then if strieing up the sediment is sooooo bad then we need to stop the rains and Winter run off from further "messing" with stireing up the sediments! Mother nature stires up a LOT more in 1 flood than a dredger EVER has in a life time!

So..... NID is going to "sell" the sediments? Would that be before or after they've run it through a sluice to remove the Gold and all that Mercury?

Two samples were taken

The samples were allowed to sit for 24 hours. The vial on the right was shaken to re suspend the particulates. It was measured at 656 NTU. This was a system wide event not a just a 0.007% impact that ALL combined dredging does on the this river. It was stated if there is an impact it's too small to measure. Yes fish and wildlife continue to thrive in this river.
