Spirit Lake, Kootenai County

I checked today with their city hall about rules for MDing the city park et al. They informed me it is wide open and jokingly added, "just don't bring a back hoe!"

The town was inc. in 1908 and they have some nice churches that occupy some pretty old buildings. There is also several original or near original buildings for sale in the town - someone could perhaps contact the owners if they were so inclined.

I love the feel of this old town, once you get off the main highway.

Plus, they have lawn mower races every summer down main street. What town that you can think of ISN'T cool, that has lawn mower races!

Spirit Lake is a nice little town. I live about ten miles south of it. Go through there quite often.

our oldest son live's in spirit lake, i really like it there and heading up there sometim in may for son's wedding in july. [ got to check out afew area's.
