Has anyone found strange "nuggets" with letters S I with roman numerals like V,X,L,C,D, or M? Also letter "P"? Any brass looking "pence" with Hogge and ship? shipwreck evidence? The Whydah has been found and I think this isn't a unique case, as the beaches hold many clues about other things. I am on the South Coast and have hunted for 40 years.:4leafclover: Some seem like broken plate worked bysomeone that did srrimshaw on metal? It is mysterious and unsolved! 20120127_110816.jpg 2012-01-27 11.05.21.jpg 20120511_105751.jpg 20130222_112827.jpg 20130306_154937.jpg Items in shape of hogge/ship

Some of the nuggets look, like aluminum slag. Find lots of it down here as well. Have you done a test on them? Are they heavy?
Here is a pic of a couple I found just yesterday on the right hand side of the tray.

Here is a pic of a couple I found just yesterday on the right hand side of the tray. They are very heavy which makes me think pre-1964 coins as they sound same when dropped on hard surface. Some look like broken plate too. View attachment 745941 View attachment 745947

It is a mystery and I am thinking Thomas Tew was here? Some look like broken plate. Where are you? They all sound like pre-1964 coins when dropped on a hard surface too! 20130222_112827.jpg

Virginia. Tidewater Area. Found more of the same again today too. Some is from either old house fires along the beach or from campfires where people throw their cans and foil in it and it all melts together.
