    My best find ever!!

I was out beach hunting this morning and came out with an amazing find. I was in about a foot of water or so when I got the signal. Dug 3 or 4 inches down and pulled this baby out. 18K Milor Italy marked on the clasp. I still can't beleive it. I haven't weighed it yet, but it feels heavy. I'd say at least 10 grams or so. I need to get a scale. I tried looking online for a similar chain and can't find one. Anybody know if it's worth more than weight?? It's a beautiful bracelet. I can honestly say that this one find alone will pay for my detector, 2X over. I've never dug anything even close to this yet, and was honestly starting to think "yeah right, people don't hit it big detecting."

    Dear metal detector God,
Thank you for all the stuff I find, I really appreciate the coins, toys, junk jewelry, old bullets, and all the other neat stuff I find, I try not to complain and cuss when I find pulltabs, foil, and other garbage, and I try REALLY hard to be nice to people who irritate me. I only have one complaint, I have yet to find gold and it's been a year now!

I hope it won't be my best find ever. It makes me want to get out there and hunt more. Just need to make the time for it. I have a lot of good old home sites to hit just haven't had a lot of time to get out.
Once I find out what this bracelet is worth I will let you all know.

Chug, that is an amazing medallion. I wouldn't sell it either, but as you said it would clearly pay for the detector. I hope to find something like that one day.

ohh they did. For a second I figured plated for sure, but soon as I saw the clasp I knew. Very clear and easy to see. It was hard not to start jumping up and down in the water, but there were people so I contained myself.

Lookindown, I agree. Chains do usually weight more than ya think. I'm gonna guess this one might be pretty close to half an ounce, it's thick with a lot of links in it. Being 18K I think I'm gonna do pretty well with it. I'm gonna take it to a shop tomorrow. The guy I go to pays well for precious metals, he buys and sells a lot of it. He knows me, I'm in there all the time selling stuff. I always get a good deal from him. I'll post what he values it at, but I may not even sell it. I really like it, and it's my best find ever thus far. I can keep it till I really need the money.

Keppy, it was an inland lake. I hardly ever get to the coast. I live about an hour from the western shore. Lot of inland lakes right near me, and there's a lot of people on those beaches. This is a good summer to beach detect being so hot, just gotta be able to take the heat. I usually go really early before the sizzlin sun hits though. I'm done by the time it's hot out there.

Very nice! Many chains don't sound off unless "bunched" at discovery. Yours is extraordinarliy thick. Nice. TTC

Yeah, I'll take a find like that any day, nice chunk of money for doing something fun. Hopefully there will be some more good digs like that this year. Planning on doing more beach hunts now. I'm researching some old home sites to dig also, never know what you'll dig at those.
