On my third day with the new Teknetics T2 SE I got a consistent signal at 8". I finally got the object out of the hole at a honest 8'', On the ground I saw what I thought is a coin. When I picked it up I saw a shank and knew I had my first button. When I got home I did research and discovered it is a colonial button. This button is 1.25'' in diameter (Large for colonial buttons with a off center bent shank. I found this button in the thick woods in front of a school near a road that is more than 200 years old. Anyway to me this is good find.

P.S. I got kicked out (for the first time) of the first school by a school worker the second I got there, So I moved to the school with the woods.

Here are some pictures.
