Ocean Shores might be good. Be careful going north of Moclips though, most of that area is Indian Reservation and Md'ing is definitely off limits there. Washington State parks has a great link for parks that are open to the hobby http://www.metaldetectwa.org/parksrecreation.asp also check the puget sound treasure hunters club website. They meet the third Thursday of each month in Lakewood. I am down in the Olympia area.
