Before I tear into the driveway with a back hoe. Has anyone had any
luck detecting buried ele. wires, cables? Is there enough copper to register?
And to what depth were you able to get a signal?
Did it 'trace' well for you, or was it spotty?
Many out buildings here, & wire seems to be everywhere. Thanks:icon_scratch:

I found what I can only imagine is/was an electric dog fence cable buried at about 10 to 12 inches in my back yard. It was very spotty in some spots, and was the thickness of a TV coax cable... But I have very highly mineralized soil here (the orange Georgia clay).

The electric company will come out and mark all utilities for free around here and its the law. Electric isn't the only hazard, there's gas, water and sewage. Why take chances and be liable. Call 811. Here's the info for Nevada
Nevada

USA North 811
811 or 1-800-227-2600

BTW most concrete has metal reinforcement in it so it would be hard to detect any wires under the concrete.
