Hi all
If your getting up in your years, chances are, that you have at least one joint replacement or back fused, keep this in mind when your are metal detecting, those changes to your body, can be pick up by your metal detector and or
pin-pointer, including wedding rings.

PS: I have had lower back fused and left knee replaced and found this out while playing with my new pin-pointer.

I had a metal plate put in my hip back in 95 that is 1995 after being in a car wreck …….. And i have checked more than once with a detector and pin pointer ..But they do not pick it up ..no sound at all

Now THAT would be a heck of a detector to catch your knee while you're swinging the coil!

I can see foot... but knees, backs and such, I think those would pretty much only get in the way while doing the final dig/pinpointing.

I have to hold my hand beach scoop behind my back while detecting because the detector will pick it up if it's attached to my belt on my hip, at about 2 feet.

I had broken my left femur and it was replaced with a metal one. My pin pointer will pick it up, but it has to be real close. On the bright side, at least I know where my leg is.

My wife has had 4 fusions on her spine and a hip replacement. We went through a metal detector at court and a hand held wand and nothing beeped at all.

HMMMM... Every time I wear my steel toed boots when I detect I get a signal every other step..... I thought it was falseing. Dang.. looks like a LOT less digging for me!

in each foot haven't had any problems yet. So far.
