Hey Liu, brooklyn here too. I saw your old rockaway thread. I have a bungalow out there, right on the beach. It is one of those old houses that were torn down...now on the national registry as there are not many left. Where in Brooklyn are you? Do you get to hunt often?

Rule #29 Don't empty your trash pouch after a day of detecting. That way, the next time you go out, you can maximize the exercise aspect of detecting by lugging the three pounds of trash with you again all over the countryside!

Rule # 30 If you are detecting a remote beach and you see a thong hanging from a tree branch, immediately turn around and go back where you came from. Do not go any further. This is not a sign that the surf is dangerous (happened to me yesterday)!
