Hi All,
I'm new to metal detecting and Treasurenet and just thought I'd share my best finds for my first 6 months of detecting.
As pictured:
Best coins 1810, 1829, 1837 Large Cents, unknown copper, 1902 indian head penny, no date buffalo nickel, 1938, 1953 Quarters.
8 flat buttons, the best being the 1764 Spanish reale coin facsimile button.
.58 caliber Williams cleaner bullet.
The tokens are, 5 cent Bury's hamburger, York Pa token, VFW 1934 Christmas token and a 25 cent cigar store Token.
The best jewelry so far is the unknown age/origin pendent and what appears to be a silver (unmarked) ladies ring.

Not pictured 21 Wheat pennies, the oldest being 1910, and allot of other interesting stuff including 3 complete harmonica reed plates from one yard.

Excellent finds for someone new to the hobby! Congratulations. And we all here want you to feel completely welcome here. You will find good people here, and plenty to pour out all the tips and help you could ever hope to imagine. You've joined the best site on the web, and I've joined many - but not all - and now seldom go to the others.

So, a good welcome to you!

Thanks for the welcomes, I spent probably the first month or so at a local park digging pull tabs and clad just trying to learn how MD worked. Then I stopped at a house built in 1804 that was for sale, I asked if I could search their property and they said it had been searched before but I was welcome to try my luck. I found the 1810 large cent, the Indian Head penny, buffalo nickel, the silver quarters, about a dozen wheaties and a couple flat buttons there. The man that owns the house suggested I go down the road to a friends house that was an old tavern built in 1790, and that's where I found the 1829 and 1837 large cents and most of the flat buttons including the 1764 Reale facsimile. Besides going back to the first houses I'm now searching the property around a house built around 1850 and continually looking for more places. Yes, I'm thoroughly addicted!

Took a closer look at the unidentified copper that I listed above and found markings. I now believe it's a George II Halfpenny. Tell me what you think! DSC_4065.JPG DSC_4067.JPG
