Beautiful! On that first pic, if you tilt your head left, and make the two dots on his tail, eyes, blur your vision a little, then take another drink, he looks like a Halloween bat, or flying goblin. LOL!

Thanks guys :icon_thumleft:, my inspiration for "birds in flight" came from this picture, something I would love to capture, enjoy , by the way, to make things clear, this was NOT taken by me, obviously :laughing7:

Strange coincidence or maybe that is: "Great minds think alike"...yesterday afternoon I drove down to the river and several swallows were flying over the water, looked to be feeding on insects. I also took photos of them, those things aren't easy to capture as they have a flight pattern much like a bat.

You are so right my friend, the trick is to find the central point and set your focus there. Then, if your camera allows it, take as many shots per second as you can, set up for the light and speed, as you can. Mine, today, were at about 8 frames per second, 250 ISO and f4.5. Not ideal for the lighting conditions, but I was on my way back home, not ready :-\. Next time, seeing as the swallows are flying I will try to do better, as long as you guys don't get bored

PS. Water is a great place to take their photos

I don't want to hijack your post, but here are some I took yesterday. I wasn't happy with them...but I never am satified with my photos.

Nice catch on those silhouetted bombers. The only problem I have with low light situations, is NOISE, that is if I'm not ready for it. Finally have some camera shy hummers coming to my feeders. Am trying to get pics of them.....NGE
