I went to a frontier days display at the local wildlife park last Saturday and got this shot of a screech owl as it perched on the trainers gloved hand.
Great shot . I've looked into owl shots for a while, they're hard. Do you focus on the beak, the nose hairs or the eyes?, you got the shot right . I have an owl specialist/ collector/something near to me and I'm thinking about doing a session there,, but I'd like to get some shots of our wild owls if possible
I took the road less traveled------------------- and now I'm lost
The secret to a long life ....................... make sure the sailor at the helm can't swim
Thats amazing,,,,owls are facinating. Great shot!!
My tastes have changed as I`ve gotten older,,,Like I never really like spankings when I was younger. Oh yeah, go ahead and piss me off,,I need another felony conviction (Helmet stickers.) To love without fear and to be loved without guilt,,,my wish for us all..
Excellent pic! My family always considered owls bad, but of course these are the same people who would refuse twenty dollar bills in payment, wanting two tens or four fives. (Andy Jackson's pic on the twenty) Superstitious fools! We always heard screech owls in the woods, but I can only say I 'knowingly' saw them about 3 times. That coloration is perfect camoflauge unless they move.
