A Trip to an Old Lime Kiln Park

Decided to visit a park that I pass every day on my way home. It's a park built around and old lime kiln and old quarry. Very pretty and my son and I stopped to read all of the markers. This park has a lot of history, wish I could swing a coil here, but I don't think they'd be to happy about it.

The geese seem to like it too and boy did we have a hard time getting to the pond without having our shoes covered in goose droppings, it was a mess.

That sure does look like a good spot to swing the coil.

Sure would be, there are original homes in this park that they let you go through also. Very nice place.

Cool structures! :icon_thumleft:

My son thought so too. The view from the top of the kiln, is really pretty. Only had my cell phone so the pictures aren't that great. Going to go back this weekend if it's nice. They have a nature center there too but it was closed when we were there.
