The town up here preserves wetlands, so this pic is two blocks from where I live, and although you can't tell from the pic, it is surrounded by houses and neighborhoods. I suppose back in Oklahoma the town fathers would look at this spot in the middle of town as a liability and drain it, maybe use it for a landfill for a couple of years, then haul in a few truckloads of dirt, put up a couple of slides and a swingset and turn it into a park for all future generations to enjoy.

I always intended to go to Colorado when I lived in Oklahoma, but like many of our intentions, time has passed and it never happened. I can only imagine the seasons provide equally beautiful scenes no matter if it's fall, winter, spring or summer. You just have to slow down and look.
