information assistance needed: wny area

Hello everyone,
I'm hoping someone can help me out. A few days ago I read a post about a MD'er hiding coins(i think) in some of the local parks(5 of them I believe). If you find one, you "turn" it in to the individual, and they give you something else in return. I would like to find the post again, it may not have been here. I went through my browser history, and couldn't find it.
Does this ring any bells for anyone?
