Cobb's without a doubt, that is very nice. I believe they were finished knives and not preforms for Lost Lake points as some think, who knows.:dontknow: One of my favorite flint types, thanks for the look. What state is it from? Here's one from KY.

Nice blade Jamey. I would guess cobbs also. I have some similiar. I have another one identical to that base as well but worked down to drill form. Even your base is like a scraper isn't it? I like the blades. Is that from your river? It looks like creek patina on it. Is the other side lighter?? Lol,, so many questions to a fellow Tennessee hunter : ).

yea tn.mountains.stones river.thanx moundbuilder,not sure what material it is joshuaream but the other side is darker,tn. sharp all the way around even the base.

moundbuilder.that is a nice one.seems as though your flint took a beating better than mine.yours looks thick and bevelled at the bottom,like my first one.this one is sharp.not bevelled i do not think. i wish Neanderthal would chime in .or anyone else who knows more about them.thanks again moundbuider.check out my other one in round a rew days ago.scooby doo.

Very nice Jamey. I think that Cobbs was meant to be used in numerous ways including the base so it does not make sense in the theory that they were preforms for the lost lakes.

thanks i kinda like it too.just doesnt seem like a cobbs though.looks more like a paleo blade that i seen in a book by lar hothem.wish i knew more about these things. jamey.
p. s. ups wont deliver to a po box,how big is your box,would an 8 by 12 package it will have to send it by post man.
