My best material for a scraper. Here is the back. The point in the middle is the same material.

Man! It certainly stands out. Looks tie dyed almost. Thanks for the view. Even though you made me wish I had never posted! LOL! Just kidding. If you got it, flaunt it!!

I need a new camera but here are some more. I have more but my camera is now dead.

In your 1st pic, that green banded piece is nice. All of what you posted was great, but that one in particular. By the way, I hate that I posted before 37! Dude!!

The quatzite scrapers are from a site that is old. I am keeping them together from that spot. At least Early Archaic in that spot if not older.

Here are some others I have. The first photo is Paleo Scrapers from Tx, the 2nd one is from the same pic but I believe it is a Spokeshave. The last is North Ga scrapers.

Steve, your scraper thread has generated quite a bit of interest. The scrapers made of KRF
are very attractive as is any artifact made from that material. Interestingly, I have found KRF
artifacts but never a scraper made of KRF ...and I have found a multitude of scrapers. Of
course none of the KRF artifacts we found were found in or related to Late Prehistoric village
sites. They were all from earlier cultures and were found one at a time over many years.

Anyway, lots of nice scrapers posted on this thread.

for the whole tribe,or maybe the family of tribes.
it just way to many scrapers.
i wish i could show the 40 or so scrapers i traded with you for.but can't get my camera to work.:-(..

In combination with the umpteen awls I would suspect alot of preparing hides for teepees went on.

How about a few flake scrapers. Both Jasper and both found on our property.
