this might be a boring thread but who knows?
this is a frame of some of my larger KRF scrapers...they are all uniface
maybe i could post some of the more interesting jasper and agate scrapers
the site i hunt is loaded with scrapers
it is easy to find a half dozen in 15 minutes
i know old digger has some very colorful examples from montana

man dennis you got that right
we call it 'creeping jenny' here ever since i was a kid
it is so prolific that we could bale it
we can't spray it with Tordan either as there are shallow wells along the west side of the field
it gets ugly in about mid july and it is a PAIN
red rooted pig weed is bad and would get 5 feet tall and cover the field if not flipped over by the two duckfoots
you see some prostrate knot grass in the foreground which is now growing under the snow and it doesn't freeze....no matter how cold it gets
by spring time in april it will start to flower if we don't deal with it
you see why we find so much bone look at the ground, it is loaded with buffalo deer and elk and turkey bones
this site requires constant maintenance, kelly helps me and contributes fuel and time
him and me do all the tractor work since the owner does not drive tractor
he gives us all the artifacts we can find, all he wants is to just have a look at them
he has been our friend since high school and he bought the site in 1986

Beautiful land up there Larson. The " duck foot " I am familiar with. I had never heard it called that before. I think I have heard them called cultivators and " bo tillers" around here. Nice old John Deere as well.

Found some today...you know where. I will post the best for flaking and I believe you can see it on this piece. Just look at the edges.

sometimes called a field cultivator which is similar
john deere calls them chisel plows
but when we put on the 18 inch wide shovels or duckfeet, we then call it a 'duckfoot' (correctly called sweeps which come in sizes from 5 inch wide up to 18 inch wide)
they are used to control weeds and make ridges to hold the winter snow
not trying to get off topic rusty, just answer your question
i got more scraper images but after a while it seems like the kind we find are all so similar that it is the 'seen one, seen 'em all' thingy
