Well finally made it to the new property and found this in the first 5 mins but from then on it was just tons of brokes and lots of uglies but it is what it is. The property is in a mountainous section 25 miles away but still a nice quiet place and I havent even walked a 1/4 of the property yet. The bit of the Celt has damage on it and I have no idea on the material due to the stain but it is very heavy. At least it has 1 nice side for a display case. Here is some of the quartz examples. I had to leave some behind couldnt carry all of the brokes not enough pockets. HH, rock

Cool!....... That"s one find you will not forget!

I found the back 2 1/2 inches of a poled celt last week myself. Now I'm fired up to find the rest of it.

Nice celt... Surely there are more of those there too. I can't imagine finding so many broken points that I couldn't carry them all out!! Holy cow... Mind boggling. But I usually have a pouch and cargo pants too... :-) Thanks for posting!!

I carried some out but the material is so rough they just look like rocks to somebody that doesnt find the rough stuff. No flint as of yet but I did find 1 piece of debitage made of black flint so I know the good ones are some place out there. The rock types I saw was white quartz (spider vein) which shatters easy while making and after made, quartzite (not much), slate, Greenstone (Celt) and some other real rough material, and sandstone. I have to admit some of the brokes might of been debitage as well as pieces broken during the making. Lets see if I can find this pic

That's a cool find! Every celt I have ever found is broken. Maybe one of these days I'll find a whole one. I'd be haunting that site regularly.

2 of then look like brokes to me, either way, that material is much more different than I was thinking... That piece of orange stuff looks edible!! Hahaha... Hope you find some complete points made from that color material!!! Awesome!!!
