Hafted hammer stone??? Need help

I found this hammer stone while digging in my usual spot. Besides the usual collision marks on it's tip, there is the bottom left corner that was chiseled out. You can still see the score marks. i don't think the corner was chiseled out, there would be no need to go to that trouble.

Agreed. The fracture lines suggest a hard blow to the side. Most rocks/stones will follow the same pattern based on that strike point as well as what left on the opposite side.
