Hello, you guys inspired this post past couple days with the best of stuff....that said, earlier this year I found my first chert piece, have been very lucky right on my property, and now have a few cool pieces. Hereā€™s the bifurcated base points Iā€™ve located in the cliff overhangs so far. Please add yours to this post, Would love to see the varieties out there. Not sure of chert types, enjoy and thanks ! I picked it up around the Arizona/Nev line. Iā€™m not sure of the lithic.
The obsidian in that area is green banded obsidian.

Here are two Bifurcated Based Points, AKA: TAUNTON RIVER BIFURCATED. They are personal finds. They are also the only points of this type in my collection. Broken, but cherished.

LeCroy. Nice & completely typical, although they're not infrequently asymmetrical.

Are you really thinking Lecroy on that one? I posted two from the site that ole Archie Lecroy got his named after. Bifuracates are some pretty cool points.
