Took these pics using a high contrast magnification app picture_2020_11_22_1_9_27_91.jpg picture_2020_11_22_1_7_8_439.jpg picture_2020_11_22_1_5_56_344.jpg picture_2020_11_22_1_11_21_502.jpg picture_2020_11_22_0_53_22_604.jpg picture_2020_11_22_1_11_24_104.jpg picture_2020_11_22_1_2_51_543.jpg picture_2020_11_22_0_58_3_277.jpg

Interesting but not really seeing the beauty of the item.
I think that is the same technique I have seen some people use for contrast with coin varieties. While it might be useful sometimes, I think for "natural material" items, regular color is best most of the time. There just doesn't seem to be enough separation between the item and the busy background. Maybe a neutral background would help?

Interesting images. I could see the potential benefit of viewing using this sort of application.

What is the magnification power used for these images?

Background color makes a big difference on how the object will appear. As does light and object color itself. Darker objects will appear as light and lighter as dark.

I think it really makes certain features of certain artifacts really stand out. Tool Mark's that aren't easily noticed by the naked eye or normal magnification become all to obvious. This particular app has up to 11x magnification. I dont believe any of these photos were taken at 11x because it was hard to stay still enough to keep focus.
