Tellico Plains Tennessee Panning?

Going to Tennessee next week for family vacation just wanted to know if tellico plains Cherokee national forest was a good place for panning? Any tips or advice for prospecting in this area would be great. Thanks

I stayed at a vacation rental on coker creek a couple years ago. Creek was in the back yard and sluiced around 2 grams out in a couple hours. Some nice flakes, lots of fines, and a couple pickers. Check VRBO.com as there are a few rentals on coker creek and they rent out VERY reasonably.
