Here's what you need to get rid of the tape holding the screws! Tinnerman fasteners. The only other way would be to thread the screw holes, but the metal might be too thin for 1/4-20.

I just might have to order one of those, along with another Flow Pan.

Good idea, Capt. Nemo. The way I look at it you can run that thing all day only occasionally dumping your super-concentrates into a bucket. You would not need to take the mat out until the end of the day when you get home and do your final cleanup. Then you would be much less likely to drop the screws than you would on the stream. Once again, Doc has come up with a winner.

Tinnerman nuts are great. They used to be used on many vehicles and appliances. Much better than some of the plastic junk.

I'll probably do the same once they're out. I like options! Let the nephew try the Flow Pan, and now he wants one for Alaska.

Might also do well with the open sides for panning in light surf.

The Flow Pan isn't bad at all if you can kneel in the water, or sit on a bucket in the water.

Right on that point! When he's with me, I let my nephew do the classifying. :evil4:
