made a Tiger eye freeform pendant for myself

Been tinkering with this Tiger eye for awhile, the top of it is so friggin hard, the diamond bit is having a workout getting the hole drilled.
Had to take a break from the heat & sun for some water intake and air conditioning therapy.

how it looked when i started (on the right)


and now, with the hole almost through the hard part of the stone.


not trying to make it shaped perfectly, just cool looking.
Finding out that tiger eye is harder than i though it was lol!

this is the back, didnt spend as much time on it as the i did the front, its the back.











I will polish the rear side a little better, i didnt want to put a dop on the freshly polished front and my fingers need to rest from all the sanding. i will do another round of sanding to 4000 on the back too then buff it again.

Thats nice. When it was in the raw before you started was it rough in texture? I have a piece I found that looks close to it and was wondering if it is the same.

Yeah, its kind of rough. It onlt comes from Africa though
