Help identifying what this may or may not be ?

I posted yesterday about this is our first time out and this rock was found in our dig. To me this has a cluster of something that looks like crystals or maybe crystals starting to form. Very new to all this rock and crystal finding. bt.JPG bt1.JPG

The first pic looks to be a granite material. The fractured material at the bottom does not appear to be crystal however it is crystalline as the fractures show sharp edges and some definition... possibly a calcite/quartz material. The second picture is what can be called rock crystal and is massive crystalline quartz that started individually as crystals but grew tighter and fussed to a solid mass.
